ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

TEACHER TRAINING SCHOOL – PRIŠTINA

The Teacher Training School was founded in 1958 in Priština, as the first higher education institution in Kosovo and Metohija, and a forerunner of most of the Faculties of the University in Priština.

BUSINESS SCHOOL – KOSOVO POLJE

In accordance with modern trends and rapid economic, technological and social development, after 40 years, the teaching staff of the Teacher Training School in Priština decided to change the name to Business School, with the head office in Kosovo Polje. In September 1999, the school was temporarily moved to Blace, and at the end of 2003, its seat in Blace became permanent.

BUSINESS SCHOOL OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES – BLACE

After comprehensive reforms in accordance with the applicable Bologna Declaration, and pursuant to the Law on Higher Education, the Business School received the accreditation and became the Business School of Vocational Studies.

THE ACADEMY OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES OF SOUTHERN SERBIA – DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS STUDIES BLACE

In order to promote and improve the reputation of the higher vocational education in Serbia, the Serbian Government founded the Academy of Vocational Studies of Southern Serbia in 2019, uniting five higher education institutions in the field of vocational education. This contributes to a more efficient and economical achievement of the goals of vocational higher education and its connection with the needs of the labour market. The program orientation of the Academy reflects modern trends of higher vocational education, concept of dual studies, with student professional practice as the key base for the development of experts to be competitive not only at the local, but European and global labour markets, too.
