What is ECDL?
ECDL (European Computer Driving License) is an internationally recognized certificate consisting of seven modules in information technology:
- Module 1 – Information Technology (IT) Concepts
- Module 2 – Computer Use and File Management
- Module 3 – Word Processing
- Module 4 – Spreadsheets
- Module 5 – Databases
- Module 6 – Presentations
- Module 7 – Information and Communication
Why ECDL
The ECDL certificate is one of the basic standards in the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society of Serbia adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Almost every job requires computer skills, and employers often ask for proof of that. With an ECDL certificate, the candidate proves to the future employer that he is qualified to use a computer.
By acquiring the ECDL certificate, the user acquires the knowledge to use the computer according to European or world standards.
How to get an ECDL certificate?
Certification according to the ECDL standard at VPŠ in Blace is provided to students as well as candidates from citizenship.
No prior knowledge in the field of information technology is required to master the program. The candidate can get all the necessary knowledge for taking the tests through our courses and literature prepared according to the ECDL program, in the Serbian language.
Students of the Business School in Blace, within the Practical classes in the first year, master all the material provided by the ECDL program (Modules 1 to 4). In this way, all students who want to take the exams for obtaining the ECDL certificate do not have to attend special training, because it is conducted during full-time studies. If the student passes all four modules in the class, he thus acquires the right to the Start ECDL certificate . By taking the remaining three modules at discounted prices, the student can obtain a Core ECDL certificate .
All other candidates can attend ECDL module courses and take tests at VPŠ Blace. The candidate should also contact the e-mail ecdl@vpskp.edu.rs in order to be informed about the dynamics of the courses and taking the tests.
