Business Economics
Structure of the study program
The study program of basic vocational studies Business Economics is conceived in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and the Bologna Declaration with the application of the European system of transfer of ECTS credits.
The study program lasts three years (six semesters), has a total of 180 ECTS, belongs to the field of social sciences and humanities and gives a professional title – professional economist in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and a list of professional, academic and scientific titles.
The goal of the study program Business Economics is the education and training of experts for jobs in the field of domestic and international business.
The content of the study program, the rules of study, the rights and obligations of students and other issues relevant to the implementation of the study program are printed each year as a special publication that is available to the public and in electronic form.
Objectives of the study program
The goals of the study program Business Economics are aimed at acquiring basic, theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of business economics and management.
By attending the study program, the student acquires a broad basis of knowledge and skills in the field of business economics that should make him capable of performing specific professional tasks in all business functions: finance and accounting, marketing, logistics, application of information systems and development of communication skills. strengthening coordination at all levels.
Special attention is paid to the practical aspects and enabling students to get involved in solving practical problems immediately after graduation.
Competencies of graduate students
The Business Economics study program enables students to acquire specific competencies for solving problems in the company, decision-making and management in the company.
General competencies that students acquire upon completion of the study program relate to:
- ability to analyze, synthesize and predict solutions,
- ability to develop individual and team work,
- ability to clearly communicate and present ideas and solutions,
- compliance with the code of ethics,
- ability of critical and self-critical thinking,
- intensive and creative use of modern information and communication technologies.
